Our Funding Explained
The Flex Fund
Collaborative research across multiple sectors will be the key to our success. We will invite collaborative research and innovation projects focussing on accelerating the scale-up and deployment of novel and existing technologies. The calls will be open to UK academics with the aim of promoting partnerships between academia, industry, the public sector and non-profit organisations.
How to Apply
We are inviting partners from every corner; industry leaders, researchers, innovators, investors, and policymakers to help shape and support this national mission, while confirming that eligibility to apply for FlexFund awards rests with academic institutions as project leads and that these partners will not receive funding directly.
PEOPLE Fund
Our People theme prioritises skills, culture, capacity and leadership development and will respond to new ideas in a way which is inclusive, collaborative, and ethically motivated. This fund is available for members of the wider community to apply for, particularly early career researchers and technicians. We welcome suggestions for activities that are designed to deliver sustainable impact at pace by putting people at the heart of the transition to defossilisation.
